What will you do as Software Engineer

You will work in a dynamic team where innovation and sustainability are key. As a Software Engineer at UMS, you will contribute to the design, development and maintenance of software applications that support our mission. Your responsibilities are:

  • Design and develop high-quality software applications according to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Writing clean, efficient and well-documented code.
  • Perform unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development process.
  • Continue to learn and apply new trends and technologies within software engineering.

Who are you and what do we ask of you as Software Engineer

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Experience in development & engineering (preferred).
  • Solid background in automotive or similar sectors, with an interest in EV drivelines, heavy trucks or subsystems.
  • Experience with software/hardware integration and system integration within EV systems.
  • Familiarity with CAN communication, C/C++, CodeSys, embedded software, and Matlab Simulink.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO26262, EOBD, J1939 or vehicle dynamics is a plus.
  • Excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus).
  • Good social and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for innovation and flexibility to embrace new technologies.
