Prototype Technician

WHAT YOU WILL DO AS Prototype Technician

In this role, you will work on the construction and further development of prototypes. You translate designs into practical solutions and collaborate closely with engineers to continuously improve products.

  • Building, assembling and modifying prototypes of products and systems

  • Supporting the mechanical and electrical integration of prototypes into vehicles and machines

  • Translating technical drawings and schematics into functional assemblies

  • Performing mechanical assembly, wiring and basic electrical work

  • Identifying and solving practical bottlenecks during the build process

  • Testing, analyzing and improving prototypes in collaboration with engineers

  • Documenting build steps, changes and findings

WHO YOU ARE AS Prototype Technician

You are a practical technician who enjoys working independently, while also actively collaborating with others. You feel at home in a development environment where not everything is predefined and where your input is valued.

  • Completed technical education, such as Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or similar

  • Proven experience with assembly, prototype construction or product development

  • Strong mechanical skills and basic knowledge of electronics and electrical systems

  • Independent, accurate and solution-oriented

  • Hands-on mindset with attention to quality and detail

  • Affinity with electrification and sustainable mobility

  • Good communication skills

  • Good command of English; Dutch or German is a plus
