WHAT YOU WILL DO AS Software Engineer

You will work in a dynamic engineering team where innovation and practicality go hand in hand.
As a Software Engineer at UMS, you contribute to the design, development and maintenance of software applications that support our systems.

Your responsibilities include:

Designing and developing high-quality software applications following industrial standards and best practices
Working with cross-functional teams to create solutions that meet technical and operational requirements
Writing clean, efficient and well-structured code
Developing unit and integration tests to safeguard software quality and functionality
Participating in code reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of the development process
Staying up to date with new trends, technologies and methods in software engineering

WHO YOU ARE AS Software Engineer

To be successful in this role, you have:

Experience in software development & engineering (required)
A solid technical background in automotive or related sectors, with interest in EV systems, heavy-duty vehicles or industrial equipment
Experience with software/hardware integration and system interfaces within EV systems
Familiarity with CAN communication, C/C++, CodeSys, embedded software or Matlab/Simulink
Basic knowledge of ISO26262, ISO9001, HV safety or functional safety is a plus
Excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Enthusiasm for innovation and adaptability when working with new technologies
